Track to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs, Cepei’s new strategy to 2030

March 8, 2023

Since its foundation in 2002, Cepei’s commitment has been clear: to facilitate a detailed understanding of global, regional and national agendas on sustainable development. For this reason, it has positioned itself as a policy broker, i.e. the bridge between different stakeholders, such as civil society organizations, multilateral agencies and decision-makers in Latin America and the Caribbean.

2023 is a key year as the organization presents a new value proposition, vision and strategy which focuses its efforts on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), and how different stakeholders can contribute to accelerate their implementation. To achieve this, Cepei applies a simple and forceful model: monitor to accelerate.

“For Cepei, it was important to develop a new vision, strategy, and value proposition to align ourselves to the new challenges in the world that emerged after the pandemic, which forced us to rethink how we were working to contribute more effectively to monitoring and accelerating sustainable development”, remark Philipp Shönrock, Executive Director at Cepei
