Webinar: What to expect at the UNGA 78 and the SDG Summit

September 11, 2023

On September 5, the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78) begins its session until September 26, 2023. This year, the main theme will be “Rebuilding trust and rekindling global solidarity: Accelerating action on the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs towards peace, prosperity, progress and sustainability for all”.

Seven years away from meeting the 2030 Agenda, the world is at the halfway point, and development progress is receding due to the impact generated by climate change, COVID-19, and different conflicts.

In 2023, the United Nations convenes the second SDG Summit to bring together world leaders to discuss concrete actions to accelerate the SDGs and meet the 2030 Agenda.

The SDG Lab, the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), and Cepei will hold a virtual session to address the highlights of the 78th UNGA and the SDG Summit.

Date: September 14, 2023

Time: 9:00 am – 10:00 am (GMT -5)
