Four Latin American and Caribbean countries to present their progress on the 2030 Agenda

June 28, 2023

The High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) is the main space for monitoring the implementation of the 2030 Agenda at the global level. Its ninth meeting (July 10-19) will mainly discuss five Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and its central theme will be “accelerating recovery from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels”.

A total of 38 countries will present their Voluntary National Reports (VNR) in this space which is considered the most relevant to follow the progress of the SDGs and the global sustainable development agenda. Chile, Guyana, Barbados, and St. Kitts and Nevis will be the four Latin American and Caribbean countries presenting reports in 2023. Some of them, such as Guyana and Barbados, will do so for the second time, while St. Kitts and Nevis will show its progress for the first time.
