
On September 17-18, the Think 20 Summit was held in Buenos Aires, bringing together think tanks, Argentine government authorities, representatives of international organizations and the business community, who participated in panels and presentations.
Among the central themes addressed at the Summit where: climate change and infrastructure for development; food security and sustainable agriculture; the future of work and education in the digital era; economic equity of gender; global governance and the future of international politics and economics and finance.

6 international experts were part of the meeting as keynote speakers: Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development of Columbia University; Vera Songwe, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (CEPA); Nicholas Burbules, professor at the University of Illinois; Nora Lustig, professor at the University of Tulane; Thomas Straubhaar, Professor of International Economic Relations at the University of Hamburg and former director of the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI); and on behalf of Colombia, José Antonio Ocampo, co-director of the Bank of the Republic of Colombia.

The Director of Cepei, Philipp Schönrock, and the Governance Coordinator of Cepei, Javier Surasky, were part of the Summit to contribute to the debate on a better and effective implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the LAC region.

During the T20, the German Development Institute made the occasion to organized a regional workshop with Latin American experts on sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean, to discuss the Global Report on Sustainable Development (GSDR). The the Director and the Governance Coordinator of Cepei were invited to be part of the Meeting.
