Peer-to-peer exchange on Water Information Systems: Dominican Republic – Paraguay

On May 13, in the framework of the Data 4 Now initiative, Cepei organized peer-to-peer exchange on Water Information Systems.

Representing Paraguay, the General Directorate for Statistics, Surveys and Census (DGEEC) and the Directorate for Drinking Water and Sanitation (DAPSAN) were part of the exchange. Representing the Dominican Republic, we had the participation of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development (MEPyD), and the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources

The objective of the meeting was to present the Dominican Republic experience in structuring and consolidating the country’s Water Information System through

Likewise, lessons learned and good practices from the construction and implementation process of the Water Information System of three Latin American countries, were identified.

Finally, the participating institutions sought to define possible working lines to support the consolidation process of the System in Paraguay.
