The SDGs regional forums: The ambition to implement the 2030 Agenda in the COVID-19 era

February 25, 2021

Some barriers to achieve sustainable development overcome national borders and cannot be defeated by working exclusively at the national level. This infographic on the Regional Sustainable Development Forums 2021 provides an overview of what we can expect.

Throughout March, the Country Members of each of the five regions into which the United Nations Sustainable Development System is divided, will be meeting in their sustainable development forums. The objective is to hear each other, while respecting the trajectory, capacities and challenges specific to each region. They will seek to advance in the construction of responses and synergies for the implementation of the SDGs.

The effects of COVID-19 will surround these Forums. Therefore, they will be an opportunity monitor the effect the pandemic has had in the commitment of the countries regarding the 2030 Agenda.
