As every year since 2016, Cepei has been monitoring and analyzing the voluntary national reports (VNRs) submitted by Latin American and Caribbean countries to the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on their progress toward the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year, as part of its follow-up and analysis, Cepei conducted a multi-stakeholder campaign with representatives of the United Nations, civil society, and experts from the Cepei team on the VNRs elaboration process, as well as the challenges faced by the region in meeting sustainable development.
Mareike Eberz, Economic Affairs Officer at ECLAC, explains how the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean Community of Practice on VNRs supports countries in building their voluntary national reports.
