Key facts about Guyana on its path to sustainable development

September 22, 2023

Massive digitization, the economic crisis, recovery from the pandemic, and political instability in Latin America and the Caribbean require strong leadership with the necessary infrastructure and tools to support it and drive the creation of high-impact public policies. Currently, we have found that with information and quality data, it is possible to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Improving Voluntary National Reporting (VNR) is essential to increase the number and quality of data applied to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), foster joint learning and knowledge sharing, and support the implementation of efficient and effective data-driven actions.

Through the SDG VNR Quality Tracker tool, Cepei analyzed the quality of the VNRs submitted by Guyana (2019 and 2023) and its governance index for implementing the 2030 Agenda. This graphic story shows the quality of the country’s reporting process.
