Bilateral relations between Latin America and the Caribbean and the European Union are important to strengthen the commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out in the 2030 Agenda. When seeking economic partnerships for renewable energy projects with the EU and member states – demonstrate the clear lack of initial (fluid) capital and private investment in the region. Ensuring that there is a chronic need for investment that would not have been overcome with private investment is key to building relationships.
