Maurice McNaughton holds a PhD in Decision Sciences at Georgia State University and has over 25 years senior management and leadership experience in the planning and direction of enterprise-level Information Technology in organizations. He is currently Director of the Centre for IT-enabled Innovation at the Mona School of Business & Management, UWI and is doing active research in the areas of Open/Big Data, Digital Transformation and Digital capacity building.
Dr McNaughton is a founding Director of the Caribbean Open Institute, a regional coalition of Caribbean organizations that engages and works with regional governments, researchers, journalists, technologists, NGOs, and academics, to raise awareness, strengthen capacity, and foster collaborations towards the adoption of open development approaches.
