Officer in charge of the Secretariat
Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC)

Lawyer and Bachelor of Legal Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has postgraduate studies in International Relations and a Diploma of Specialization in International Relations from the Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile. On July 1, 2011, he assumed as Officer in charge of the Secretariat of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). As a teacher, he teaches classes in the Master in Public Policy and Management at the University of Chile, in the Master in Public Opinion and in the Globalization and Democracy Chair at the Diego Portales University, in Santiago. At ECLAC, he previously held the position of Legal Advisor and Political Affairs Officer. He also served as Legal Consultant for the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of Consumers International.
