Economist from the Universidad de los Andes with work experience in the private, public, academic and consulting sectors, both locally, nationally and internationally. Experience in information management, processing and analysis. Studies at the Master’s level in Economics from the Universidad de los Andes and Master’s in Analysis of Contemporary Political, Economic and International Problems from the Universidad Externado de Colombia. Doctor in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Computational skills in statistics, econometrics, geographic information systems (GIS) and modeling of complex systems (agent-based models). He participated in the Cities System Mission and worked on multiple statistical projects with the Econometrics firm. He held the position of deputy director of the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) and was president of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi (IGAC). He has been an international consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), CEPEI and UN-Habitat. He has been a professor and researcher at the Universidad de los Andes, Universidad Externado de Colombia, University of Illinois at Chicago, Universidad Industrial de Santander, Universidad Santo Tomás, Universidad Nacional de Colombia and currently works as a career professor in the Management program and Urban Development of the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá Colombia.
