Since 2002, Cepei has visited all of the world’s regions. We have participated in the most relevant international and regional forums for monitoring global sustainable development agendas, seeking to promote an ongoing discussion between government representatives, multilateral organizations, the private sector, civil society, academia, and think-tanks in the development community.
SDG REGIONAL FORUM
WORLD DATA FORUM
High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development
It is the main space at the global level for following up on the 2030 Agenda. It enables peer exchange on lessons learned and provides political leadership, guidance, and recommendations for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.
Since 2016, Cepei has been monitoring the presentations of LAC Voluntary National Reviews in real-time, after which it publishes a country and comparative analysis.
The Forum took place during 10-19 July, and the central theme was “accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels”. The SDGs under thematic review were SDG 6 on clean water and sanitation, 7 on affordable and clean energy, 9 on industry, intonation and infrastructure, 11 on sustainable cities and communities, and 17 on partnerships for the Goals.
This year, 38 countries submitted their Voluntary National Reports (VNRs) and four of them are from Latin America and the Caribbean: Barbados, Chile, Guyana, St. Kitts and Nevis.
