ADVOCACY
For the past 20 years, Cepei has been dedicated to facilitating a detailed understanding of the global, regional and national agendas on sustainable development, promoting a continuous dialogue in spaces such as the UN General Assembly, the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, the LAC Countries Forum on Sustainable Development and the World Data Forum.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY
HLPF
SDG REGIONAL FORUM
WORLD DATA FORUM
Forum of the countries of LAC on sustainable development
It is a preparatory instance for the HLPF, sponsored by the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean. It has become the platform in which common problems are raised, lessons learned are exchanged, collaborative learning processes are strengthened, and dialogues are established with non-governmental actors.
Cepei has followed up on the Forum since its first meeting in 2017, publishing an annual report on its main findings.

Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development was held in Santiago (Chile) from April 25 to 28. This forum, hosted by ECLAC, brought together the region’s countries to work on overcoming common challenges such as gender equality, climate change, and socio-economic recovery after the pandemic.
For three days, several sustainable development actors dialogued and exchanged experiences to promote an inclusive regional process towards sustainable development.
Since 2017, Cepei has closely followed this event, which is also the preparatory instance for the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).
This year, Cepei presented its new SDG Quality Tracker tool that provides easy and customizable access to relevant data and expert analysis for 2030 Agenda reporting. And also shared lessons learned from the 17 Rooms process in the region.
