COVID-19 proved ICTs a 'force for good'
COVID-19 moved Trinidad and Tobago much further along the digital scale that previously envisioned and underscored that ICTs can be used as a force for good. That’s according to Communications Minister Donna Cox in her message on the occasion of World Telecommunications and Information Day which is being observed today.

Government said it is confident that a review of Trinidad and Tobago's progress towards achieving its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be positive after it submits an update to the United Nations later this year.
Regulatory framework for the environment and human rights
The implementation of the SDGs requires the participation of all stakeholders. The State, as the main responsible agent for fulfilling the commitments of the 2030 Agenda, must promote this participation through normative, political, economic and social incentives that create multi-stakeholder enabling environments.
