We present the Unidos por los ODS initiative in the Regional Meeting of Local Networks of the Global Compact

Cepei, representing the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, Fundación Bolívar Davivienda, Fundación Corona, and the Colombia Global Compact Network, presented the results of the Unidos por los ODS initiative, within the framework of the regional meeting of Global Compact networks.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is the road map to which 193 countries adhered to build a more equitable world and improve the quality of life of all without exception. These objectives set out commitments for different sectors of society, including the contribution of companies to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) associated with the global Agenda.

Taking into account the relevance of making visible and identifying the main challenges of the companies for the achievement of the SDGs, in 2017, the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá (CCB), the Global Compact Network Colombia, the Fundación Bolívar Davivienda and the Fundación Corona, committed to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, joined forces to promote the initiative “Unidos por los ODS: el aporte de nuestras empresas”, a project that seeks to measure the contribution of companies for the SDGs. The Centro de Pensamiento Estratégico Internacional (Cepei) is the technical operator of the initiative and has the support of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on environmental issues.
